We got up this morning and had the chance to talk to our daughter, my brother and my husband’s sister on Skype. For anyone who comes over Skype is a great way to stay in touch. You do have to pay for a wifi access code at the hotel but it is much cheaper than trying to make international calls. After that we went to breakfast in the cafĂ© here and then on to the baby home.
Little man’s group was headed out side to play and not wanting to make him miss his outdoor time we headed out with is group to the play ground. The kids were all cute and several were very demanding about trying to get our attention. Little man did not like that AT ALL. He kept trying to leave the playground and take us with him. So after a little bit of out door play we did go inside so that we could have him and he us all to ourselves.
We tried his shoes and boots on. The boots fit snugly but the sneakers were clearly too small. Have I mentioned recently that little man is not all that little? He has some big feet for sure. He also has large hands. We are pretty sure this is going to be one big boy as he grows up. He had to go back to his group a little early today because they had a doctor coming in to check all the kids. They all have colds. So after we left the baby home we went shopping for new shoes for the little guy. We found a couple of good size baby stores. I also wanted to look at strollers to see if it was possible to get one of the inexpensive umbrella kind for the trip home but no such luck. The smallest and least expensive stroller here was about $40. So I guess we will be relying on the sling / MeiTei that I brought if the need comes up.
We did find him new shoes and went with a size 23 – a size 6 in US sizing and they just fit so yeah – probably a 6 ½ or seven if anyone else is looking at shoes. Did I mention the big feet? We walked back to the hotel after that and had some lunch. My husband is having an easier time with the food this go round. Mostly because he has decided to be more open minded and try new things. He had a chicken and tomato thing for lunch he liked and I really enjoyed my mushroom soup. After that we just relaxed until our afternoon visit.
Little man was more subdued this afternoon. I think the cold is starting to get to him. He was a little warm. But he still enjoyed playing ball with Daddy and talking on his toy cell phone. Not much else for now. We may venture out in search of pizza for dinner tonight since my husband has a craving for it. Paka
